TRUE beauty

What is it that makes someone truly beautiful? I've always wondered... It's NOT just outward appearance. So, I ask myself, what is TRUE beauty?

I believe that true beauty consists of:

  1. Self control (maintaining purity)
  2. Service to others (stepping out of your way and going the extra mile)
  3. A heart that totally seeks God.
  4. Genuine character
  5. A purity that shines from within.
  6. One's heart (whether or not you show the fruit of the spirit)
  7. A gentle and quiet spirit.
  8. A sincere, not self-gratifying personality (not fake!)

I think beauty is useless without good judgment. True beauty grows from the inside out. Ya gotta spend time with God so you develop lasting beauty- the kind of character that sets you apart and doesn't fade with time. I think true beauty comes from honoring God with all that you are. People should be drawn to you because of your heart..

Eh. This really doesn't fit together.. it's kinda patchy..

Alright.. let's try again, shall we?

True beauty:
A godly woman who possesses the fruit of the spirit; a woman who has a passion for God. A woman without self-conceit. She seeks wisdom and seeks God. She is beautiful because she is filled with a pure heart and people can see her beauty not in her looks, but in her heart; for what's in your heart is where you'll find real beauty (1 samuel 16:1-13).

... not good enough.

True beauty: 1 Peter 3:3-6.

We'll leave it at that... until next time.
