Vision: Don't be Afraid to be Different

"Do not conform to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." - Romans 12:2

I’m here to tell you its okay to be different! You were not designed to fit in with the world. This was an issue throughout my high school.

I was tired of being the “good girl” and wanted to be the “fun girl”. I let myself go and I became just that. I wore the right clothes, said the right things, and had the cool boyfriend, but I was crying myself to sleep. I wasn’t created to be that! It wasn’t until I lost it all that I realized the Lord had called me out; He had chosen me to be a daughter of the Most High God. I was in the world, but not designed to be of it.

So, my fellow generation, do not be afraid to live out loud! You were created with a purpose. He has divinely set you apart! You and you alone can fulfill the calling He has placed on your life. Renew your mind daily, speak the truth over yourself, and remember His promises.

Now go for it! Live out what He has called you to do, and rejoice in your differences!

When you put a jagged rock in a river it eventually becomes smooth because it is being washed over by a continual stream of water. In the same way, read the Word of God daily and allow your thoughts, words and actions to become smooth as His Living Water daily washes over you.
