Enlisted

I was sitting in the sanctuary.. sort of zoning, and then these words hit me: "Wherever you find yourself and whatever you go through, you are on missions as God's representatives."
That's missional living for you, and one of the GREATEST examples of who a living missionary person is, is Paul from the gospel.
In Ephesians 6:19-20, Paul's prayer request is for words to speak and for the boldness to speak them.
Now, the word is a mystery. 'A mystery?' you say. Yes. It is a mystery. You can not discover the word by mere reason; it must be revealed (Colossians 4:2-4). So pray! Pray for God to give you the words and the boldness to share the gospel with others.
We are in a spiritual battle! We are not waging war according to the flesh(2 Corinthians 10:3-5).
Do not be afraid; God gave us a spirit NOT of fear, but of POWER, and LOVE, and SELF-CONTROL (2 Timothy 1:7).
In this battle, we are to fight. Do not be the 'civilian' whose life only pursues world pleasures; but be a soldier, whose pursuit is of GOD.
Ask yourself: Am I suffering? If you aren't suffering, are you even IN the battle?! (2 Timothy 2:3-4: Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him.)
Now ask yourself: what's holding me back? What is the comfort of yours that holds you back from following Christ the way you're supposed to be following Him? Are you living your life as an enlisted and engaged soldier, or the civilian who stands and watches?
Who am I, I asked myself at the end of the sermon? I’m a missionary cleverly disguised as an average teenage girl, who is ready to start living radically, boldly.
