Untitled

you're still here?
haven't you enough after every devastating fire that keeps scorching all who come too close?
aren't you afraid of the burns? the scars?
feel the heat singeing your skin
you want this?
aren't you tired of the dirt from people leaving their trace on your unblemished path?
go ahead
try to fix the debris
the scattered remnants of my over-stretched, molested heart
try to wash the blood-tear muck of my past from it
'careful not to wash away the rest of what is left, only held together by the last few strands of trust that i am capable of bearing
you're asking for trouble
i am only a burden, adding to the weight that you tried to shed
shed it
leave my self like the rest
toss me down the road
who am I to be worthy of your love?
i am nothing
i am a heap of rubble waiting to be pushed around once again
rearranged on the road of destruction
walk all over me
everyone else does
another foot print won't hurt this gravel
