Luke 10:1-2
It's such a simple verse, yet packed with awesomeness. Where shall I start? Well, reading from my notes, I started with:
"sent"- in Luke 10:1 = apostello:
"The LORD appointed . . ."
It's such a simple verse, yet packed with awesomeness. Where shall I start? Well, reading from my notes, I started with:
"sent"- in Luke 10:1 = apostello:
- to order (one) to go to a place appointed
- to send away, dismiss
- in Luke 10:2 = ekballo:
- to cast out, drive out, to send out
- to command or cause one to depart in haste
How have we been sent out? We have been sent out . . .
- Under Authority:
We are under His authority! Matthew 28:18-20 says,"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'”
Jesus is sending us out. He has sent us. "As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world." (John 17:18)

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 . . . there is strength in numbers.
- With Expectancy:
- With Urgency
"But the laborers are few . . ." HELLO!! It's go time! We can't just sit around. It's all about the harvest. We should be living for the Harvest. John 4:35 " Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." People are RIPE for Harvest . Why are we just sitting around?
The Harvest is plentiful. There are plenty of people who need to hear the Good News. So why are the laborers few?! We shouldn't be living for this world, but for Christ! Be more than a fan; be a follower. . and harvest some people, for Jesus' sake!
Do you really believe that there's a glorious heaven, a horrid hell, etc.? Then how many people have you eagerly/urgently spoke to about Jesus? If you really believed what you say you believe, then you would have that urgency.
Maybe it's because we're afraid, or lazy? Don't be afraid to be inconvenienced! Don't be slacking and let someone else do YOUR work. Get up and get out there! It's GO TIME! We are sent! We don't live for ourselves if we are children of God.

"Therefore, pray . . to the Lord."
All that we do is for the Lord and through the Lord.
Now the question is, "Will you go?".
John 20:21
Isaiah 6:8
Philippians 1:22
Now, get out there. Pray, engage . . you are sent.
(sorry if this doesn't really flow.. )
